It was cold today, maybe not as cold as it is across the Atlantic, but still cold enough to not want to work outside for more than a couple hours at a time. Most of the fire has gone out of the landscape but it remains beautiful though muted. These pictures contain the area I'm going to redesign this year. I like the stark trunks of the mature Magnolia stellata in the top picture
