One in Adelphi, Maryland, one in Wildwood, Florida, one at the US National Arboretum with a grandfatherly interest in many more around the DC area (unless noted, pictures are taken the day of post)

If I don't get those icicles off the hummingbird feeder we won't see any hummingbirds today
I reached for it about mid November, but Rosa 'New Dawn' bloodied my arm and I somehow never got back to it???.
I'm in Southern California and we, fortunately , do not trouble with our hummingbird feeders freezing. But, I have a friend that was asking for help in keeping hers thawed and I found this blog to be quite interesting: http://birdchaser.blogspot.com/2006/12/keeping-hummingbird-feeders-from.html.
I'm amazed at the lengths we will go to in order to keep our little feathered friends happy! Well worth it, I would say!! :)
