Acer carpinifolium backlit fall color with samaras
This is a nice little plant, well, maybe not little...medium sized. This plant was grown from seeds collected in 1982 in Japan; it's 20 feet tall give or take. The leaves definitely resembling those of Carpinus look odd on a Maple.
