You are right, the Senate could have done something to avert this a while ago, had Boehner been the majority leader of that "august" body ... but he's not.
Still, it is nice still to be here, whether we're going over a cliff or not. Frankly we've gone over it already and all our bankers know it; so they want us to pay for the next stimulus, a.k.a. spending, a little more up front.
