I got to the Arboretum early enough this morning to see the sun rise through the Dove Tree, Davidia involucrata
It's somewhat in decline but still looks good covered in it's peculiar flowers. It's a chinese plant with an interesting story. The bright plant in the right foreground is a variegated Iris tectorum.
