The tropicals are in for the winter

They're spread out across the south facing windows in the living room. From my chair I see them through the leaves of Gordon, Karen's 30+ year old ponytail palm. I guess it's time to take the hummingbird feeders in and wash them for the winter. The last hummingbird has long since headed for warmer climes.

  1. Just how many did you move inside? My count is probably lower than yours at 27, with a few more still to come in. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I think about 22 but most of them were small pots, 6" or smaller. The big pots, cannas, zingiber, brugmansia, etc are still outside waiting to be toasted by frost. They're easy though, I just roll them in the basement door!
