First I stopped taking pictures, now I don't even carry a camera......
For as long as I can remember, the world has been filled with wonder and beauty. Sunrises, the night sky, sunsets, dewdrops, flowers, leaves, the curve of a vine or a shoulder, butterflies, birds, rocks, snow, ice, and all the patterns; they were all amazing and wondrous. They were excuses to stop and look and wonder, to muse and do research and find connections and learn.....Well, something has changed and the magic is gone. What happened? I don't know. Nothing seems different but there's just no magic anymore. . I hope it isn't a symptom of aging. I can take the random memory losses and the gradually decreasing physical abilities, but if the world isn't magical, what's the point?
I cannot imagine you without your camera in your pocket. Take time to regroup and the magic will slowly return .. it's not gone, it's just waiting for you to notice.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it is time for a long vacation. Missed your blog entries during your break. Your inspirations became mine also. Good luck finding a way to recharge. I find this time of the year to be the toughest time of the year for gardeners.
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie and Jim. It's beautiful out today and I'm gardening till I drop, then coming in to dry off and going out again. Maybe I can sweat it out!
