Camellia Japonica x Franklinia alatamaha cross from Dr. Ackerman
I'm just posting a photograph to monitor the progress of the bud. Like many C. japonica cultivars and the species itself, the bud is swelling as the days lengthen. It's showing pink petal edges. I can't wait.
Don't know. It looks much like a C.japonica; of course they're typically large and Franklinia... As to release, we haven't even grown it in the ground so it'll be a while. We do have some small rooted cutting though so we'll get it out.
Sounds intriguing. How tall do you think this will get?
ReplyDeleteDo you think it will be available commercially in the near future?
