The secret here is to have plants that can handle 6 months of drought. This one seems to be working; it was flowering when it was planted in August 2007 and has bloomed every year (twice) since. Dormant through the winter and spring, it resprouts with the rains of summer. The arching stems are between two and three feet tall with the terminal inflorescences daintily dangling the individual flowers. Cool plant.
